Here are some of her thoughts:

“Wow, president!

And only 10 short years after the much missed Ed Reisman talked me into joining IHFRA!  I hope you all know what you are doing!  Thank you to everyone who took time to celebrate the coming holidays with their friends and compatriots.  I think it was one of the best holiday parties, ever!  Thanks to Margot, Ron and Howard for putting it all together for us.

There is strength in numbers, and I hope that the coming year brings growth to our organization and to the vendors we represent.  I feel that the fact that there were several new faces in the crowd shows a desire to gather together and seek new ways to face the challenges before us, and look forward to taking advantage of the many offers of assistance for the coming year.  Together we have strength.

Thanks also to everyone who brought a toy donation.  They have already been taken to the local Marine recruitment center, and it was a pleasure to be “ma’ammed” while several young people helped to unload all the goodies.  The generous donations to the GET Fund are also appreciated, and it is my hope, if we do nothing else this year, that everyone in the furniture industry in our area will become aware of the existence of the GET and Jensen Funds.

We have much to offer, to each other, and to the industry, and I look forward to working towards a great 2011.
